Due to a critical vulnerability identified in the Globalprotect (VPN) client for Windows machines and that the client we are currently using is out of date we need to upgrade the Globalprotect client. MAC users will also be upgraded during this process.

We will upgrade the client on May 1st. After that date when you connect using Globalprotect a splash screen will alert you that a new version is available and ask you if you would like to download it. Please select yes, it will download in the background, there will be no status bar indicating the progress. After the download is complete another splash screen will alert you that the download is complete and ask if you would like to upgrade, again please select yes. Again, there will be no progress report and when the install is complete it will disconnect without warning and restart at which time you will need to login again.

You will have two weeks to do this on your own after that time we will change the setting and your client will be automatically upgraded upon login at which time it will upgrade in the background and restart the client without any warning.
